This Privacy Policy applies when you visit or use our Website and our other services, like our products, webinars, trainings, or events, that refer or link to this Privacy Policy (each of which is called a "Service").
Regardless of any (brand) names used on our Website, LMS owns or operates the Service, as indicated in this Privacy Policy, and is the first controller of your Personal Data to be provided to, or collected by, theService.
In this Privacy Policy we explain how LMS handles thePersonal Data (information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person) that we obtain in our contact with you. Obviously, we will treat the Personal Data carefully and confidentially. How we collect Personal Data
Basically, we collect Personal Data about you directly by your input or through several techniques of our Service.

1. Our Website -information when you contact us
· Contact form. If you have a question or other remark, you can visit our Website and use our Contact Form. You will be asked to provide yourFirst name, surname and company name, e-mail (optional: phone number, company size). We will only use this information to respond to your question by e-mail(or by phone). We will register your requests, questions and our responses and other actions to handle your request.
· Registration. If you want to register for a webinar, training, or event, you can submit Name (and company name), e-mail address.
· Downloads. To provide you with a download of our documentation we need to have your Name and e-mail address.
· Career. To give you information when you show interest in having a career at the Legal Manager Academy, we need to have your Name and e-mail address.
2. Our Website -information about your visit to our Website and about the use of our Website
To analyse your behaviour on our Website and to improve and maintain ourWebsite and to tailor our Service to your preferences, when you visit ourWebsite we may collect your IP address, time of registration, which pages you visit, device category, browser type and clicks and views. A part of the information referred to in this Privacy Policy is collected via the use of cookies and similar (tracking) techniques. 3. Social Media
Our Website has a button from the social media channel LinkedIn. Our Privacy Policy does not apply to this channel, but only to the content of our pages we have on the channel of LinkedIn. The use of social media is your own responsibility. You may choose to share information of our Website via social media. This means that the information you share, with name and preferences, shall be visible to visitors of your personal pages. Therefore, we advise you to carefully read the privacy policies of the social media parties as these are applicable to the processing of your Personal Data by these parties.
4. Newsletters
On our Website users are given the opportunity to subscribe to our digital newsletters. We inform our customers and business partners regularly by means of a newsletter about company offers or news. If you subscribe to newsletters of LMS, you explicitly give permission to collect your e-mail address and surname.
Our newsletter may only be received by you if you have a valid e-mail address and if you register yourself for the newsletter shipping.
LMS uses the double opt-in procedure: a confirmation e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address you registered, for legal reasons. This confirmation e-mail is used to prove whether the owner of the e-mail address as the Data Subject is authorized to receive the newsletter.
During the registration for the newsletter, we may also store the IP address of the computer system assigned by your browser and used by you at the time of the registration, your country or region, as well as the date and time of the registration. The collection of this data is necessary to provide legislative guarantees for newsletter registration and to understand the (possible) misuse of your e-mail address later, and it therefore serves the aim of our legal protection.
The PersonalData collected as part of a registration for the newsletter will only be used to send our newsletter. In addition, subscribers to the newsletter may be informed by e-mail, if this is necessary for the operation of the newsletter service or a registration in question, as this could be the case in the event of modifications to the newsletter offer, or in the event of a change in technical circumstances.
The consent to the storage of Personal Data, which you have given for sending the newsletter, may be withdrawn at any time. For the withdrawal of consent, a corresponding link is found in each newsletter. It is also possible to unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time directly on our Website, or by communicating this to ourDPO.
5. Callcenter. When you call the office of LMS, you may be answered by and/or connected through, a callcenter. Therefor we need your Name, telephone number and e-mail address.
6. Agreements. LMS needs the following Personal Data of our clients to execute the service agreement: Name (and company name), e-mail address, phone number, address, zip code, city, country.
7. Billing. Additional to the data we need of our clients we do need billing information (bank account).
Some processing of Personal Data is necessary for the security of ourWebsite and our company. We log all use of our Website, anonymously and the logfiles are stored separately from all Personal Data provided by you.
LMS uses Personal Data with your (informed) consent. For some of the above mentioned purposes we have legitimate interest in using your Personal Data and for some we have a contractual relationship.
Rights of the Data Subject
You have the right to obtain from us the confirmation as to whether your Personal Data are being processed by us or on behalf of us.And in case this is confirmed you also have the right to view yourPersonal Data processed by or on behalf of us, by request an overview.

You also have the right to delete your PersonalData. However, deletion of Personal Data can only be done if the data is no longer relevant. If we process your Personal Data for direct marketing purposes, you shall have the right to object at any time.
You have the right on data portability, meaning to receive your Personal Data, which was provided to us, in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, and in certain circumstances, we will, at your request, transmit your Personal Data to another Controller where this is technically feasible and when doing so does not adversely affect the rights and freedoms of others.
If you wish to exercise any of these rights, please send a request to our DPO. We will respond to your request in accordance with applicable law. To protect your privacy and security, we may ask you to verify your identity.
As a responsible company LMS does not use automatic decision making.
The storage & retention of your Personal Data
LMS stores your Personal Data on our local servers in the EU and on the servers of the cloud-based data management provider in theUSA. We have established the necessary requirements in order that this processing is in line with European data protection laws.
LMS will retain your Personal Data:
1. for as long as necessary to provide you with any requested Service (e.g., upholding your user account), or
2. for the fulfilment or initiation of a contract, or
3. to conduct our business activities and fulfil our legitimate interests, such as providing safe and secure services, to fix bugs and to reach out to you, or
4. to comply with applicable laws (e.g., retaining financial information for 7 years for tax purposes) and legal requests and to resolve (legal) disputes.
Right after expiration of that retention period, the corresponding data is routinely blocked, deleted, or de-identified, in accordance with our retention & erasure policy and schedule.
Sharing your Personal Data
LMS may need to share Personal Data with parties outside our company to help us to provide our Service to you and to run our Website.
With each company that process your Personal Data on our behalf, we have concluded a data processing agreement, or equivalent, to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of Personal Data. We remain responsible for the processing of the Personal Data provided.
Your Personal Data is not passed by us on to Third Parties unless you request or authorize us, or unless we need to provide Personal Data to law enforcement bodies to comply with a legal obligation or court order
Transfer to countries outside EEA
For technical and operational reasons, your Personal Data may need to be passed on to (servers of) companies outside the EEA, preferable in countries with an adequate level of data protection. However, LMS will always take appropriate measures to ensure that your Personal Data is protected.
Many social media providers are located outside the EEA and store your Personal Data there, which makes it possible that your PersonalData is not protected at the same level as we are used to within the EU. If such transfer of information is not desirable for you, you may prevent this by logging off from your social media account before you call-up our Website.

LMS takes the protection of your Personal Data seriously.We always take appropriate technical, physical, and organizational measures to prevent abuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure, and unauthorized modification of the Personal Data that is collected through our Website and ourServices. LMS maintains an Information Security Program to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all computer and data communication systems while meeting the necessary legislative, industry, and contractual requirements. Policies, procedures, standards, and services of LMS are based onISO 27001. In addition, we use an independent third-party body to audit periodically our compliance.
